Insula opened June 8 2015 in the building vacated by the old Vertin's restaurant.
Owned and run by Executive Chef Daniel Vollom and Sarah Wigdahl-Vollom, Insula has captured the imagination and enlivened the tastebuds of the eating scene in Ely, Minnesota. Join us.

At Insula Restaurant we chose to use the first-come first-served method! This helps to keep the flow of the dining room during busier times. Should the restaurant be full when you stop in, we ask that you leave your name and number with the host and we’ll call as soon as a table opens.
